We Believe all the canonical books of the Bible, both the Old and the New Testaments, to be the inspired and revealed Word of God. We further believe that all the Book of concord of the year 1580, are the correct presentation and true exposition of Christian doctrine drawn from the Holy Scriptures, namely;
- the Three Ecumenical Creeds; the Apostolic; the Nicene; the Athanasian
- The Unaltered Augsburg Confession
- The Apology of the Augsburg Confession
- The Smalcald Articles
- Luther’s Large Catechism
- Luther’s Small Catechism
- The Formula of Concord
We believe that there is only one God, eternally in three Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that man was created in the image of God and through disobedience fell from his original state of perfection. Because of this fall into sin the entire human race shares in man’s lost condition.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God and Man in one Person. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life as our Substitute, was crucified for our sins, and earned righteousness for us through His suffering and death. He was raised bodily fro the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will personally return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead.
We believe that repentance for sin and faith in Christ brought about in us by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of a lost and sinful humanity.
We believe that eternal life is our by faith, that is, trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Salvation is a gift of God. This gift is expressed in our life by works that are pleasing to God.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is given to all Christians and places them into the Body of Christ. He is the Comforter who indwells believers, convincing them of the truth of Christ’s teaching and helping them to live a life pleasing to God.
We believe that the Sacraments of the Church are Holy Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is offered to adults upon their confession of faith in Christ, and to infants at the request of their parents. The Lord’s Supper is offered to those who are able to examine themselves in accordance with the Word of god and the teachings of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
We believe that both the saved and the lot will be raised from the dead; believers to an eternal life of blessedness and joy; unbelievers to eternal damnation and everlasting punishment.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church, an that every local Christian congregation has the right, under Christ, to decide and govern its own affairs.
We believe that the Church is commissioned by Christ to “preach the Gospel to every creature” and to “make disciples of all nations”. The task of the local Church is to edify its members in the body of Christ and to share the Gospel so that others may come to faith in Jesus Christ as their only Savior from sin and eternal death. Every Christian is responsible to be a witness.
We believe that the end of all things includes the visible, personal, and triumphant return of Jesus Christ.
